Product updates and improvements

New

Official PHP SDK

composer require fraudnova/fraudnova-php guzzlehttp/guzzle installs the official PHP client (PHP 8.2+). It covers IP, email and phone checks, the batch endpoints and your balance, returns typed results with a flagged() helper, throws a typed exception per error status, and can retry rate-limited requests. Laravel apps get a service provider and a FraudNova facade; set FRAUDNOVA_API_KEY in .env. See the PHP SDK section of the docs or the source on GitHub.

New

FraudNova node for n8n

The FraudNova node is a verified n8n community node: on n8n Cloud search for "FraudNova" in the node picker and drag it in; on self-hosted n8n install n8n-nodes-fraudnova from Settings, Community nodes. One credential, IP, email and phone checks, a Check many operation that uses the batch endpoints, and a flagged field so an IF node tests one value. The n8n guide shows the setup; the source is on GitHub.

Improved

More reliable failover for upstream lookups

A small share of live checks between 3 and 5 November answered HTTP 503 even though the service had capacity, because our failover gave up too early on a bad upstream route. Failover now moves on to the next route automatically instead of returning an error, and the message in that 503 body now reads "Upstream lookup failed." Every check that did fail was refunded at the time, as described in the error reference.

Improved

Upstream failures now return HTTP 503

When a check cannot be completed upstream, the API now answers with HTTP 503 instead of 502, with the same JSON body and the credit refunded as before. The change makes sure the error message reaches you: our edge network replaced 502 responses with a generic page. See the error reference if your integration branches on the status code.

New

n8n workflow templates

Three importable n8n workflows are now in the examples repository: a webhook lead gate that rejects disposable emails and proxy traffic, a WooCommerce order check that alerts you on Telegram, and a Google Sheets phone enrichment. Add one credential, set one threshold, and they run on any n8n. The n8n guide walks through each one.

Improved

Consistent navigation on every public page

Every public page, including the docs, guides, status, this changelog, the legal pages and the free checkers, now shares the same header menu and footer. They also line up on one page width. Links such as Guides, the free checkers and the GitHub examples are now one click away from anywhere.

New

Code samples, OpenAPI spec and Postman collection on GitHub

A public GitHub repository has runnable curl, Python, Node.js and PHP examples, webhook verification snippets and a Postman collection. The same endpoints are documented in the API docs.

New

Guides

A new guides section has practical articles for affiliate and lead-gen teams. Topics include detecting proxy traffic, rejected leads, disposable emails, phone validation and fraud-score thresholds. New guides will be published over the coming weeks at /guides.

Improved

A more consistent dashboard

The dashboard home, usage, API keys, webhooks and settings pages now share one layout. The balance card and recent checks are easier to read on phones. Account deletion now lives in one place, under Settings, Privacy.

See the redesigned usage page.

Improved

Invoices show the discount breakdown

Invoices for purchases that used a coupon now list the pack price, the discount and the total paid. Download your invoices from the billing page.

Fixed

Parallel lookups no longer hit 429 unnecessarily

Bursts of parallel checks used to queue behind each other and time out with a 429. The change described in "Parallel requests and billing" resolves this; see the API docs for the current limits.

Improved

Parallel requests and billing

Checks are now charged up front and refunded automatically if a lookup fails, so parallel requests are billed exactly once. A per-account limit on concurrent in-flight checks now applies, 10 by default, and higher limits are available on request.

Requests over the limit return a 429 with the message "Too many concurrent requests". Details are in the API docs.

New

Pay by card

Checkout now offers card payments alongside crypto. The credit packs and prices are the same, and invoices are unchanged. Choose a payment method on the billing page.

New

Free IP, email and phone checkers

Three public tools let you run a few checks per day without an account: the free IP checker, the free email checker and the free phone checker. They return a short summary of the result. A FraudNova account unlocks the full result.

Fixed

Equivalent addresses are no longer billed twice

The same IPv6 address written in different notations, the same email with different letter case, and the same phone number with different formatting now resolve to a single lookup instead of separate charges. Nothing changes in how you call the API. See the API docs for accepted input formats.

New

Batch checks for emails and phone numbers

POST /api/v1/check/email/batch and POST /api/v1/check/phone/batch accept up to 100 items per request and return a result for each one. Only successful checks are billed.

The usage page and CSV export now work per check type. Request details are in the API docs.

New

Email and phone number checks

Two new endpoints, GET /api/v1/check/email and GET /api/v1/check/phone, score emails and phone numbers at the same one credit per check. Email results cover validity, disposable addresses, deliverability and abuse signals. Phone results cover validity, line type, carrier, VOIP and prepaid status, and abuse signals, with an optional country hint.

Both are also available in the dashboard lookup. Read more about email validation and phone validation, or see the API docs.

New

Check your remaining credits from the API

GET /api/v1/balance returns your credits_remaining. The request does not use a credit. See the API docs for the full response.

New

FraudNova is live

FraudNova scores IP addresses for fraud risk, with proxy, VPN, Tor and abuse flags plus geolocation. One check costs one credit, and every new account gets free trial credits. You can score up to 100 IPs per request with the batch endpoint, get signed webhooks for balance and purchase events, and export usage as CSV.

PDF invoices, coupon codes, a public status page and an OpenAPI spec with code samples are included. Start with the API docs or the IP fraud detection API.
